1954 - Fr. Wasson visits an orphan in prison |
| 1953 – | Fr. William Wasson, founder of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, is ordained in Cuernavaca, Mexico. |
| 1954 – | Fr. Wasson is given custody of the first boy after he was apprehended for stealing from his church poor box because "he was hungry." |
| 1959 – | Girls join the NPH family. |
| 1963 – | After nine years, 396 pequeños, or little ones, make up the NPH family of orphaned and abandoned children. |
| 1965 – | The first of the Friends of the Orphans (then Friends of Our Little Brothers) offices incorporates. |
| 1969 – | Our Little Brothers and Sisters, Inc. is established in Virginia to raise funds for NPH. |
| 1970 – | Casa San Salvador in Miacatlán, Mexico, is acquired; work begins to refurbish the old sugar plantation - now home to nearly 1,000 NPH children. |
| 1972 – | Fundraising office in Canada opens. |
| 1984 – | Fundraising offices in Austria and Germany open. |
| 1985 – | Fr. Wasson opens a home in Honduras and names Reinhart Köhler Director. Fundraising office in Switzerland opens. |
| 1988 – | Fr. Wasson and Fr. Rick Frechette travel to Haiti where there is an overwhelming need for a hospice and orphanage; Nos Petits Frères et Soeurs Haiti opens. |
| 1991 – | Fundraising office in the Netherlands opens. |
| 1994 – | Fundraising office in Belgium opens. |
| 1995 – | Fr. Wasson establishes an NPH home on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. Fundraising offices in France and Ireland open. |
| 1996 – | Guatemala becomes the third Central American country to benefit from an NPH orphanage. |
| 1999 – | The children of war torn El Salvador are welcomed into the newest NPH home for orphaned and abandoned children. |
| 2000 – | Fundraising office in Italy opens. |
| 2002 – | NPH Dominican Republic opens in San Pedro de Macoris with Kieran Rigney, formerly of NPFS Haiti, as director. |
| 2003 – | On June 7, Fr. Wasson celebrates his Golden Jubilee, the 50th anniversary of his priesthood. On December 21, Fr. Wasson celebrats his 80th birthday. |
| 2004 – | Fr. Wasson opens a home in Peru and names Alfredo Hernandez director. NPH enters its 50th year of serving children. |
| 2005 – | Bolivia is the latest home to join the NPH family; Germán Mercado is named director. |
| 2008 – | Fundraising office in Iceland is opened by Jon Levy, a volunteer from NPH Mexico. |
